Jo was born in Asheville, North Carolina but has lived most of her life in the Louisville area. She attended Oldham County High School before moving to Florida where she attended Valencia College and cheered for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL. Upon returning to Louisville, Jo taught at Prospect Preschool Academy for fifteen years. Jo lives in Middletown with her husband Shaun and daughters Kourtlyn and Fallon.
